Report on humanitarian situation in Africa

Abstract

The report provides an overview of the humanitarian and forced displacement situation in Africa. Its content draws on information gathered from Member States of the African Union, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and the United Nations system. The report further presents information regarding activities carried out by the Commission during the period from July to December 2018. These activities cover all actions taken in tackling humanitarian crises, addressing root causes with a focus on durable solutions to protracted humanitarian situations and providing Member States with the necessary assistance.
